Just when I think that I have my whole summer ahead of me to watch American Gladiators, ride horsies and draw until my hands bleed, everything gets turned upsidedown from a single phone call. It happened thursday morning, I was minding my own business when my phone rang but I missed it from trying to find it So I patiently listen to the voicemail and it is a certain Sue Wicks from Xstrata (biiiiig mining comapany) wanting to know if I was available for vacation work this summer since one of their students was sick - Oh and by the way be at Mt Isa for sunday. SUNDAY!?! but it's thursday already!? So I send her my resume and results and she books me in for an interview in 2hrs. I avidly researched Xstrata in the remaining time, aced the interview and she calls me an hour later to say I've got the job ^_^. The next day she sends me my tickets, I book my flights home for christmas and before I know it my bags are packed and ready to go.

So it would seem that there is a hell of a lot of art that I wanted to do that will not get done over the christmas break, especially the christmas designs I promised. I was almost finished the Ammynal one and was about to start Viper's...There's a high chance that I'll get the linearts done between now and christmas but they won't be completed until after christmas since I fly home on christmas day.
